Meena Subramanian is a painter who specializes in abstract, landscape, mixed media, and realistic art, with a passion for the world around her.
She takes inspiration from Staring Lake, a gleaming oasis surrounded by enchanting trails and a vibrant biome. It is notably home to two bald eagles, George and Martha. Staring Lake is Meena's Walden Pond. Her works inspired by the lake are proudly shown under the 'Staring Lake', 'Environment', and 'Mixed Media' tabs of the Gallery section of this site. In fact, many of the three dimensional pieces used in her mixed media art were taken from Staring Lake. Her other major sources of inspiration include Pablo Picasso, Gerhard Richter, the cubist and abstract artistic movements, and traditional Indian art. Meena is a multidimensional artist whose true vocation is to depict the world around her through artistic medium. Take a stroll through the Gallery and please do not hesitate to contact her if you would like to learn more about her works, have interest in purchasing a piece on display, or want to request a commission. Meena was recently featured in the Eden Prairie Local News for her artwork and inspirations.
